Engagement Scope

The Sutor Group was engaged by the State of Idaho Transportation Department to assist it in the evaluation of the damage claim submitted by M.A. DeAtley Construction, Inc. DeAtley submitted a claim in the amount of approximately $700,000.

Project description

The project consisted of the grading, drainage and plant mix paving of 7.05 miles of US-95 and crushing, screening and stockpiling of anti-skid materials.

Entitlement issues

DeAtley asserted a delay claim arising from previously approved change orders..

Type of impacts

DeAtley submitted an extended field and home office overhead claim. DeAtley asserted that they were delayed for 129 work days.
