Engagement Scope

The Sutor Group was engaged by Wiggins to review a claim that had been prepared previously on behalf of the contractor and make whatever adjustments were appropriate based on our findings.

Project description

The project entailed replacement of existing hangar doors with larger overhead hangar doors. The project also entailed a significant amount of interior framing, insulation, drywall, electrical, mechanical, and painting relating to interior renovation.

Entitlement issues

Interpretation and implementation of the Buy American Act provision included in the contract. Project delay as a result of encountering nesting swallows included on the endangered species list.

Type of impacts

Labor inefficiency, winterization, remobilization, contract extension costs for home and field office overhead, and subcontractor impact claims.
